TO HAVE A FRIEND, BE ONE
provide clear guidance for meeting new peopie, developing friendships, appreciating differences, and piaying an active role in your family and community. The first Scout Field Book put it this way:
"If you see a Scout Badge on a boy's coat lapel, give the Scout Saiute and watch him smile. Maybe you can be of assistance to him. He may be a stranger in your town. By greeting him, you have made him feel that he is not alone."
We all depend on others for connection, fellowship, support, and love. When you do everything you can to help others feei appreciated, you will find that you are also not aione.
