TO HAVE A FRIEND, BE ONE

THE BSA has always encouraged its members to be independent, to stand on their own two feet, and to use good judgment rather than being swayed by peer pressure. Trusting in yourself is an important quality to have.

But just as important is the willingness to get along with others. The SCOUT Law reminds you to be friendly and helpful. When you help others, always remember the rules of safety. The Scout Oath and Law do not require you to put yourself in danger. You should discuss with your parents or guardian how to be a good Seoul and be safe.
