Rice
Both white and brown rice are nch in minerals and fiber. For one serving, pour half cup of uncooked rice and 1 cup of cold water into a pot. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until done-about 15 to 20 minutes for white rice, 40 to 45 minutes or more for brown rice. There's no need to stir rice while it is cooking.

Shape the dough into 3 or 4 biscuits about half a inch thick. Place them on a greased pan and bake for 10 to 15 minutes in a stove-top oven or a reflector oven. Test by pushing a matchstick or wood shaving into a biscuit. The biscuits are done when the wood comes out clean.
